Cute little random card...

I wanted to share an adorable card I just recently made a for my best friends little girl. I missed her birthday, so I wanted to make her something extra special to make up for it. Along with the personalized card I made her a couple little bracelets to go along with it.

I didn't take pics of the bracelets before I sent them out, but I did remember to take a pic of the card! I keep reminding myself to take pictures of the things I create just in case I ever want to create them again. I often forget how I designed something and end up kicking myself in the foot when I try to duplicate it...lol.

So here is the cute little card...

I absolutely love the layout I used...although I'm not sure where I had seen it before? If anyone reads this and recognizes the layout, let me know so that I may give the creator of the layout/sketch proper credit due?

For this card I used an adorable digi stamp I got from Dustin Pike's freebies. This particular Digi Stamp freebie was offered to celebrate his "Blog-Iversary" in April! He is a wonderful artist and so generous to offer free digi stamps on his blog every Wednesday. Be sure to check it out and his amazing website too where you can buy all his stamp designs!

CARD DETAILS:

PAPERS: "DCWV" turquoise and light purple textured card stock, coordinating polka dots, pink wood and purple plaid patterned paper. Plain white cardstock.
INK: Edges sponged with turquoise "ColorBox" ink and image was colored in with "Prisma" pencils and a gamsol technique was used to blend.
IMAGE & SENTIMENTS: Digi stamp butterfly bear from "Dustin Pike" and Name was generated and printed from my computer.
EMBELLISHMENTS: Pink and purple "Prima" paper flowers, pink translucent Dew Drops and purple satin ribbon.
OTHER: Machine stitching inside and out and "Stickles" glitter glue for added sparkle!

Pac Man 30th Anniversary Special From Google

This is so awesome! I love to collect Google banners...don't ask me why, but they are awesome works of art. Well I tried to save this one today and realized it wouldn't let me save it...then I realized you could play it...lol!! Everytime I tried to search for something on Google today I got sidetracked and started playing the game instead. They even equipped it with an "insert coin" button instead of the "feeling Lucky" button! This is not one of the games I played...I found this on YouTube. But you should definitely check it out before Google changes it! I love Pacman!!

My Lindstrom jewelry tool was replaced for FREE!!

I'm so happy I can make jewelry again!! Not too long ago my tool I used the most to wire wrap beads for my jewelry and other items snapped right in half!! It was my Lindstrom long curved nose pliers that I use as my little helper to do my neat little wire wraps on my beads.

The Lindstrom tools are ergonomic which makes them very comfortable to use and work great for hours and hours of jewelry making without my hand cramping up. Without them I was only able to make a couple things and then had to quit for the day.

I have back ups that I use to use before I bought my Lindstrom set, but I have developed really bad arthritis in my hands that makes it hard to use the old cheapies. So I had lost all my motivation to make my jewelry.






I was so sad for a long time because it took me so long in the first place to save up for them to buy the tools one by one. I knew it was going to be awhile before I could buy another tool.

Well my hubby got tired of me being mopey about my broken tool so decided to write Fire Mountain Gems (which is where I bought them from) to let them know what happened and made sure to mention that a tool so expensive should not have broken so easily! And guess what?!! They wrote him back the next day to ask for my account name and address and which tool it was that broke so that it can be replaced!! I didn't know they have a lifetime warranty!! They told it would be no problem, didn't ask any other questions and I received my brand new tool within 3 days!!!

I was so excited when I got them that I got my motivation back instantly and now have lots of new jewelry items to add to my shop soon!!

Custom Handmade Wedding Card...

The closer summer gets it seems like everyone is getting wedding fever...lol. I noticed alot of people have upcoming weddings including one of my friends that is getting married in June. And just the other day another friend of mine told me that she wanted me to make her a wedding card for a friend of hers that was also getting married in June! So this the card I came up with for the both of them...

I think it turned out beautifully! I love the layout I used and the adorable digi stamp I got from a very talented fellow Etsian Heather Ellis of DigitalStampCharacters!

I also made a beautiful coordinating envelope to go along with it...

Card Ingredients:
