Fairy Fun Fridays #45 -For A Sweetheart -DT Card

For those of you who've been following me this past week will know that I recently became a new "Fairy Princess" design team member for "Prairie Fairy Designs"! It was so nice to meet all the super talented ladies over the week and start working with them, they truly are a kind and helpful bunch! And I'm so excited to share with you all my first card created for the "Fairy Fun Fridays" challenge blog!

The new challenge is to make a card "For a Sweetheart"...

Isn't that image the cutest?!! It's Roberta's newest image called "Valentine's Gilly" and can be found in the "Prairie Fairy Designs" shop!

Here's some super adorable closeups...not sure if you can tell from the pic, but I used "Diamond Glaze" for her eyeglasses and of course dressed her up with "Stickles" to make her come even more alive!

And of course I had to dress up the inside as well...I used the my "Cricut Machine" for the filigree heart dies, I just love them! Although I cut out the center of the heart for the inside to leave room for writing space.

Now you know you just have to play along too! So hop on over to the "Fairy Fun Fridays" blog for some lovely inspiration from all the other wonderful DT ladies! There are some adorable digi prizes to win too!!

CARD INGREDIENTS:
PAPERS: White snow glittery paper from "Best Occasions", magenta and metallic silver textured cardstock from "DCWV" and design paper is from "Me & My Big Ideas".
IMAGE and SENTIMENT: The image is sweet digi stamp from "Prairie Fairy Designs". The sentiment "hit me, cupid!" was handstamped and embossed and is from "Studio G".
INK and COLOR: The image was colored in with "PrismaColor" pencils and a gamsol technique was used to blend. The sentiment was stamped with magenta pigment ink from "ColorBox".
EMBELLISHMENTS: Silver metallic tinsel ribbon, pink dew drops, faux rhinestones, glittery white heart buttons and silver heart shaped brads.
TOOLS: Sewing machine, "Cricut Machine" with Storybook cartridge dies, scalloped border punch from "Martha Stewart" and "Cuttlebug" with swirls embossing folder.
FEATURES: Machine stitching in and out with sandy color thread. Stardust "Stickles" glitter was also added to the image  for even more sparkle! The image was cut and 3D mounted. "Diamond Glaze" was added to the glasses.

This card also draws inspiration from and will be entered into the following challenges:

#1.) Sketch Saturdays -Sketch #139

Hi Tracey,

Gorgeous Valentines Card! Just love little Gilly..lol Roberta makes such yummy digi's.

Congrats on becoming a Fairy Princess. Little Maddie can hardly wait to make her project and to get her very own little badge...lol

Just make sure that your cardboard is no thicker than a cereal or cracker box when adding it to your cuttlebug. Sometimes I use thicker cardboard and use 2 b plates instead of the c plate.

Hugs, Marjo
