Fairy Fun Fridays -Challenge #47 -Inspired By A Song!

Happy Friday all! I'm so excited it's Friday! Not only because it's the end of the week and hubs will be off for the next 2 days, but it's also time for another challenge over at Fairy Fun Fridays Challenge blog!! And this week is such a fun challenge because we were asked to create a card that is inspired by a song!

Now get your iPods out or your turn up your stereos, get inspired by a song and come and join us! Here's just a little inspiration for you to get you started...

Now by looking at that lovely image from Prairie Fairy Designs, can you tell what song I was inspired by?! Doesn't it have a beautiful country feel? I was inspired by my favorite John Denver song "Country Roads".

Such a beautiful song! And you can find Roberta's beautiful Digi stamp in her Prairie Fairy Designs shop here called "Villa Road".

I have to admit it was a little intimidating at first to color in this beautiful image, but I think it turned out lovely with my colored pencils and gamsol...

And The lace I think adds a nice country home feel! Here is the inside...

CARD INGREDIENTS:
PAPERS: Shimmery golden yellow and chocolate brown textured cardstock From "DCWV" Designer cardstock and paper from "Recollections". White cardstock fro the bases.
IMAGE and SENTIMENT: The image is a beautiful digi stamp from "Prairie Fairy Designs".
INK and COLOR: The image was colored in with "PrismaColor" pencils and a gamsol technique was used to blend.
EMBELLISHMENTS: Golden yellow pearls, clear acrylic dew drops, White stamen, golden yellow satin ribbon, white lace and golden yellow Mulberry paper flowers from "Recollections".
TOOLS: Sewing machine, "Cuttlebug" with Script embossing folder and "Spellbinders" large labels and circles dies.
FEATURES: Machine stitching in and out with gold color thread. The image was 3D mounted and Stickles were added to the lavender flowers for sparkle along with glossy accents to the window!

I had so much fun with this challenge and you will too! So be sure to stop on by the Fairy Fun Fridays Challenge blog, check out all the other wonderful inspiration the Fairy Princesses have come up with and join in the fun too...you just might be one of the lucky winners of Roberta's digi stamp prizes!!
