Young Love -Paper Playtime Challenge #47 Wedding/Love Theme -DT Card!!

 

I have some exciting news to share with you all today and a new card! 

But before I get to that I want to take this time to say that today and everyday my heart is with all the men and women past and present who have served and continue to serve our country...our thoughts are with you and thank you for all you do.



I hope everyone has had an awesome Memorial Day weekend....hope you had a chance to relax, eat some barbecue and are enjoying your extra day off! It rained all weekend here for us in Oregon, so no barbecue...but I still had a great weekend spending time with the hubs and kids since they had all 3 days off! Plus I get to take advantage of the Memorial Day sale they're having at "Micheal's" today with 25% off...woohooo...lol!!

Now for my great news...a few weeks ago I applied for the "Paper Playtime" Design Team and I was accepted!! Yay for me...lol. So my card today is my very first DT work for "Paper Playtime" and this weeks theme is Wedding/Love!

Congrats On Your New Little Bundle -By Lori Designs Challenge #19 -A Sketch!!

More Than One Fold -Fairy Fun Fridays Challenge #53 -DT Card!!

Happy Friday all! 

I don't know about you but I'm so glad for my weekend to start! Specially since it's suppose to be bright, sunny and warm all weekend long here in Oregon...no rain...yay!

And now it's time for a new challenge at "Fairy Fun Fridays"! Can you guess from my title what this weeks theme is? You guessed it! We have an exciting theme this week and a very challenging one at that...we would like to see all those creations with more than one fold!

Here's a little inspiration to get you started...

The stunningly beautiful image I used this week is called Tea Time and can be found in the "Prairie Fairy Designs" shop HERE! I had so much fun coloring in this beautifully drawn image of Robertas!

I continued with asian themed papers and embellishments throughout the card....including an awesome medallion charm that has some Chinese characters on it! I've had it laying around in my charm box for awhile...not sure what they say, but I thought it looked very cool...lol! I also made some pearl stick pins with some lovely Tibet bead caps...creating these pins is becoming very addicting and they make for such beautiful embellishments to dress up your flowers! The flowers of course including the pearl sprays, vintage seam binding and gem tree is from "WOC" (Wild Orchard Crafts)!

I'm loving this gorgeous gold foil textured paper from ProvoCraft! It came in a large mixed pack filled with differently designed scrap pieces so I just had to use some of it on the inside too!

And here are some close-ups showing my double folds, which I decided to do a little differently than traditional double fold cards with vertical opening flaps. I also added some pockets on the inside of each flap with a personal message panel in the middle.

Hey There Girl -Fairy Fun Friday Mid-Week Reminder Challenge #52 -DT Card!!

So this was suppose to be posted yesterday...but we all know the problems with Blogger yesterday, so I gave up and decided to come back to it today...lol!

The image I used is of course another fun digi stamp from "Prairie Fairy Designs" is called "OMG!" and can be found in the shop HERE! The sentiment is one I created myself.

I went with a simple look to this one but I just love the shimmery blue cardstock I used! I wasn't sure about this color combo for a girl card at first, but I think it turned out alright. Here are some closeups...

Life is Sweeter When Shared With Friends -By Lori Designs Challenge #17 -DT Card!!

It's that time again for another fun "By Lori Designs" challenge!! This week Lori went with a theme week! And the theme this week is "Friendship"!! This one should be an easy peasy one as Lori's cutie digis just ooze friendship...don't they!!

Here's a little inspiration to get your mojo flowin'....

I just love, love this super cute image!! I had so much fun coloring it in! It's a special edition that's called "Celebrate Friends" and also comes with a sentiment which I chose not to use..but you can find it in Lori's shop HERE!

I made this collage with Picnik to show off some closeups and other views...I think I like this much better than clogging up the post a bunch of images...lol!

I just had to the sparkle the image up with "Stickles" when I was finished! I used an adorable sentiment from "Hero Arts" that I stamped with razzleberry ink and then heat embossed with sparkly kaleidoscope powder!

And for the inside I tried a little something different and added a pocket to the top as well as did up the personal message panel in matching papers!

Another Box...This One For My Grandma!

I mentioned in my earlier post today that I was going to share the box I made for my Grandma. In addition to the box and matching card I made for my mom on Mother's Day! Grandma's are special too...lol!

I made her this box for the key charm I made her. And like me, her favorite color is purple...so you can say I had a ton of fun creating this and the charm for her!! I also went a little overboard with the Tattered Angels glimmer and Stickles!! It's so sparkly and pretty...lol!

As with the other box, I continued with the theme throughout the entire box...

A couple close ups of the beautiful flowers from "WOC" and beaded stick pins I made to match the box...

And the sentiment is my own...which I created an entire set that will be available soon!

I love the embossing folder I used on this one and the way it look with the glittery paper!

And the key charm I made for her...It's purple!!
