Have a Beary Sweet Summer! -Paper Playtime Summer Challenge #51 w/Bugaboo Stamps! -DT Card!

Okay, onto the second post for today and a little more inspiration to share with you all! As I said earlier I was fortunate to be able to play with 2 of our sponsors images this week for "Paper Playtime" and our theme is Summer! So for my second card I used the cutest little bear stamp from "Bugaboo Stamps" that's just dripping with juicy summer bliss! He is called "Summer Butterfly Bear -Watermelon" and can be found in the shop HERE!

I of course had to sparkle up his wings with Stickles and I also added some some glossy accents to the watermelon seeds to add a little more juicyness! Looks like he definitely doesn't want to share his watermelon...lol!

I created the sentiment especially for this adorable image! And I just love to use buttons every chance I get!

Happy Day -Paper Playtime Summer Theme Challenge #51 w/Gilli Rubber Stamps! -DT Card!

I'm back again to share with you all a little inspiration for "Paper Playtime" Challenges! I actually have 2 projects to share with you today as I was fortunate to be asked to sponsor 2 companies this week! But I will split them up into 2 different posts as my posts tend to be a bit long...lol.

Our theme at "Paper Playtime" this Monday is Summer! And first up I have an adorable stamp to show off from "Anary Designs (Gilli Stamps)". She is called "Florist Gilli" and just the cutest stamp!

As you can see I had a lot of fun breaking out my sponges again and tried out this masking technique that I've been seeing all over blogland! I don't have the proper cloud dies or grass die that are usually used for this technique...so I got a little creative and cut out clouds and grass with my Cricut machine and Paper Dolls cartridge. I used them as stencils and they worked perfectly! I love it...lol!

I also got a little creative and made my own blingy flourish! I used a Sizzix flourish die and cut out a piece of acetate, then glued rhinestones to it. I really like the way it turned out! And I used my Cuttlebug quilled flower kit dies for the very first time...it's going to take a bit of practice to get the flowers perfect but I think they look adorable and match the cards theme and image perfectly! Not sure if you can tell but I embossed all the background DP too!

Fun in the Sun With Prairie Fairy Designs Gilly!!

Hope everyone's week is off to a good start?! My 9 year old has Summer school this year and this is his second week...so both him and I are trying to get back into the early morning routine...lol. But other than that I'm motivated and ready to get my week started! I've got lots of new stuff coming up that I'm hoping to be ready and done by the end of the month including lots of NEW items I'll be adding to my Etsy shop and my new digi sentiment shop (opening soon)!! So be sure to keep an eye out for that!

Now onto what I have to share with you today! Since it's summer, I've been in the mood to create summery cards so I just had to play with Roberta's "Gillian at the Beach" image which can be found in the Prairie Fairy Designs shop HERE! Plus I made some brand new summery themed ticket sentiments that I wanted to try out!

Enjoy Your Journey -Fairy Fun Fridays Challenge #57 -On Holiday -DT Card!!

Happy Friday all! 

Hope everyone is having a wonderful summer so far?! We got us a new pool for the backyard and we had a chance to enjoy it last weekend...it was very nice but I forgot to use sunscreen and got a mad sunburn. So I've been miserable all week. Hoping to heal up enough to get back in this weekend!

Anyways, I finally have a card to share with you all today for "Fairy Fun Friday" challenge! And our theme this time is "On Holiday!" I thought 'Geisha Gilly' would be perfect for this challenge as she clearly looks like she is enjoying her travels!

Gilly looks gorgeous in her geisha attire and I think I have managed nicely to follow the theme throughout the entire card! I have recently fallen in love with the 'Picturesque' cart for the Cricut as it has lots of lovely cuts including the border and corner cuts I've used on this card...they're called 'Far-East'!

Splish Splash -Fairy Fun Fridays Challenge #56 -Swirls and Pearls! -DT Card!

Happy Friday everyone! 

I'm back again with another "Fairy Fun Fridays" challenge!! The whole DT has been taking turns with breaks for the summer to give us all a little vacation. So technically I didn't need to participate in this challenge but I couldn't pass up playing along with this bi-weekly's fun challenge which is "Swirls and Pearls"!! Plus Roberta has recently released some awesome new images for us all to play with...so I couldn't wait to use them!!

So here is a little inspiration to get you started and I have used "Mermaid Gilly"...she can be found in the "Prairie Fairy Designs" shop HERE!

I had lots of fun using my "Cricut" machine with this one! I used my "Paper Dolls" cartridge which has accessories that come with the dolls and one of them was this cool wave border! And for the swirls I used the "Stretch Your Imagination" cartridge.

I'm not sure if you can tell from the pics but I used some glittery blue and pink cardstock along with some shimmery purple cardstock. Here are some closeups...

And for the inside I did up both panels with the top panel holding the sentiment I created for this card. I continued with the swirly theme on the lower message panel.
