I Love You So Much! -Sketch Saturday Challenge #174 w/Lili Of The Valley Stamp!

I'm back for a second time today with another card to share...yes my mojo is officially back and hopefully will be non-stop!!

I meant to get this posted and linked up yesterday, but one of my boys had an eye appointment and then hubs decided to let me splurge a little at Michael's...and you know me and shopping...so we didn't get home until really late!!

Anyways, I made a card for the sketch they have over at "Sketch Saturday"...I know I'm cutting it real close for this weeks deadline, so hopefully I get it in on time!! If not I still had fun with it anyways! It's been awhile since I was able to play along with their challenge and I almost forgot just how talented their team is with all the awesome inspiration! They even have a DT Call going on right now...I'm thinking about applying. Will have to talk it over with the hubs first!

The stamp I used is from "Lili of the Valley" called "Rosie Posy"...isn't she just darling?!! I actually got me a bunch of their stamps at the beginning of the year and I'm just now getting around to mounting them all! Mounting stamps is obviously not my favorite thing...lol. I'm hoping someday I will stay ahead of the game and actually stay current with new released stamps...but until then, they are still fun to play with and ink up new or old!!

I really like how the distressing turned out on this one...I don't do distressing all that much, but I think it's starting to grow on me! But you know me I always got to have some sparkle somewhere...lol!

All the flowers are from "Wild Orchard Crafts" of course and so are the transparent leaves, flat back pearls and the gold heart shaped crystal stem...you can probably tell I'm addicted to those things!!

The sentiment is from a gorgeous set of sentiments I got from "Papertrey Ink" called "Signature Greeting". If you haven't had the pleasure of working with their stamps...you're missing out! I think they have the best style, assortment and intricately detailed sentiment stamps ever! Their prices are awesome and they stamp real nice and clean! And not only that but the sets all come with their own CD holder case with a way to keep them all organized too!

Onto the inside...

I'm starting to really like the way it looks with the image stamped on the inside message panel!!

I think I will continue with this way of doing the inside!

Christmas Caroling Gilly -Fairy Fun Fridays Mid-Week Reminder!!

Happy Friday all!!
I have a little more inspiration for you all who are playing along with Fairy Fun Fridays "Pink and Distressed" challenge!! And a little reminder that you still have a week to get those cards in!!

Now onto my card...
I'm trying to get myself in the Christmasy mood and start getting these cards made, cause I'm one who procrastinates till the last minute and then have to get a ton of cards made in like a week...lol!!

So I chose to use an adorable "Caroling Gilly".

This image set is an older one of Roberta's released last year, but this is the first time I got a chance to use it and just couldn't pass up the chance...she is just too cute!! Plus when you purchase this image from Roberta's shop "Prairie Fairy Designs", you get the matching sentiment as a bonus!!

I promised myself I wasn't going to use this glittery paper anymore, cause it gets EVERYWHERE!! But as always I was trying to achieve more sparkle...lol!! Also the reason why I got a little carried away with the Iridescent Medium and literally painted all over the card! I have to keep reminding myself that "Less is MORE"...that will likely be my New Years resolution...lol!

I got these foamy glittery snowflake stickers from Micheal's last year and never got around to using them...not too sure if I like the way they look??

Best Wishes -A Sugar Bowl Challenge Sketch!!

Brrr...sitting here eating a pipin' hot Cup-o-Noodle with the heat in my house turned up as high as possible!! It is officially fall here in Oregon and we have been having freezing rain for the last couple days now! And to think just last week I had the air conditioning going! But I have to say this is my favorite time of year...I know I'm crazy, but I will take cooler weather over hot weather anyday! I love it! Plus it gives me a chance to sit here in my recliner cuddled up in my blanket while enjoying a relaxing and I might add lazy day blog hopping...lol!

Anyways...you didn't come here for the chit chat...so onto my card and the sketch! I got me some Sugar Nellie Stamps awhile back and never got around to mounting them until now...I know I procrastinate a lot! And what a perfect time to get them mounted too because they have an awesome sketch to play with over at "The Sugar Bowl Challenge" blog!

Here is the Sketch...which I flipped on it's side for my card...

The stamp I used for my card is called "Believe" and can be found in the "Funky Kits" shop HERE! I originally wanted to follow the optional theme with the sketch which is "Autumn" and was going to make a Halloween themed card...but then I started getting a little too girly and my card took on a mind of it's own...lol. But it still turned out adorable and done in my fav colors too, which are purple and turquoise!!

I went on a little flower crafting spree awhile back and got me a bunch of punches, dies, paints, etc...to start making my own flowers. So the flowers on this card are ones I made myself awhile back and I made a bunch of them in all kinds of different colors too! Once you start making flowers, you just can't stop...lol. 

For these ones, I used a flower shape on one of my Cricut carts...I think I used the "Picturesque" cart. I then spray painted them with a shimmery metallic concoction I mixed up...yes I'm poor and can't afford to buy glimmer mist sprays...lol. But I think they are beautiful and turned out super shimmery!

My scrunched up seam binding ribbon turned out a little wonky...so I covered it up with one of my fav Lucite flowers!! I have to get me some more of these...I love them!

For the inside message panel I stamped the image again with metallic silver ink, then sparkled it up with Stickles! I didn't want to crowd up the front of the card with a sentiment...so I stamped it on the inside!

I think I like this method so much better...and will leave me a lot more room to decorate the front...lol!!

Everything is Better With a Friend -Fairy Fun Fridays -Challenge #62...Pink and Distressed

After a little break, I'm so happy to say I'm back with Prairie Fairy Fridays Challenge!! The whole team has actually been taking turns with little breaks during the summer but now we are all back to play and hopefully inspire you to all play along too!!

Debs is our hostess this time around and she wants us all to create something...

"Pink and Distressed"

I usually don't do a lot of distressing or use a lot of pink for that matter so this challenge was...well kinda challenging for me...lol. But I got to say, while purple or darker colors are my favorite...I think I'm falling in love with pink now! And I think the distressing turned out beautifully!

For my card I used an adorable Gilly image called "Purrfect Friends" which can be found in the Prairie Fairy Designs shop HERE!

Not sure if you can really tell from the pics...but I've recently fallen in love with this stuff called "Iridescent Medium" and I just love the way it shimmers!! I used a paint brush and just painted it all over the card, seam binding and a little on the mesh sticking out in the corner to make it stand out a little more! I also like that the paper gets kinda hard and stiff in the spots where I paint it on...which I like the ends to be stiff when I have distressed the paper! 

For my shimmer I used to use smooch spritz...but I go a little overboard sometimes when it comes to sparkly things and I go through those tiny bottles like water...lol. And they are expensive!!

You can find the "Iridescent Medium" in the paint section at Michael's for around $8...which is much better then paying $5 for a very tiny spritz bottle that basically does the same thing if all you are trying to achieve is shimmer! And with painting it on...you have much more control and that bottle will last me forever!

Anyways onto the rest of the card...the inside is of course all dolled up too!

Classic Beauty -Covered Moleskine Journal!

So I'm finally back in my craft room and churning out creations again!! I don't have a card to share today but something equally as special! I bought these Moleskine journals awhile back and was going to decorate them and give them away as gifts. Well they've been sitting on my shelves for months just collecting dust while my mojo disappeared and took what seemed like an indefinite vacation...lol. So I decided I would start on the journals first thing!

They come in a set of 3 and I'm planning on making 1 for my mom, my aunt and my grandma. The one I'm sharing today is one I made for my mom! Can you tell what her favorite colors are??

I went on a mini shopping spree awhile back and got me a bunch of Kraftin Kimmie stamps and never got a chance to use them until now...I've been procrastinating on mounting them...lol. I had my mom in mind when I seen this one and just had to get it!! She loves the beauty bombshell type stuff!! And I just envisioned the dress in her favorite colors which are black and red!

 The stamp I used is called "Annette" and can be found in Kraftin Kimmies Shop HERE! Isn't she just beautiful?!! And the sentiment is one I custom made to go with this image!

I've recently discovered some new sparkly stuff...which may be a bad thing...lol!! You all know I love my Stickles but I found this stuff called "Iridescent Medium" at Michael's and I just had to try it!! I used a paint brush to paint some on the flowers...the pictures don't show it correctly but they are really shimmery!!

I'm Still Here!!

Some of you have been probably wondering where in the heck have I been?! And some of you know where I've been. I've been going through some personal issues and had to take a break, catch my breath and pick myself back up again! While I'm not 100% myself, I have been doing a lot better for those who want to know. 

I want to thank everyone for being patient and hanging in with me! I hope to get my creative juices flowing again and my mojo going at full speed real soon!

In the meantime, I want to let everyone know I'm going to be having a giveaway on Friday as not only a thank you to all my followers, but to show off all the NEW items that will be available in my shop!
