Best Witches for a Happy Halloween! -Sketch Saturday Challenge #179!!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend so far!!
As I write this, my weekend hasn't even started yet...lol...I'm most likely in bed when this posts! I'm definitely looking forward to the weekend...for it to be over anyways!! This may be the first time I can't wait for Monday to get here, as Halloween is on Monday...lol!! My boys actually picked out some scary costumes this year! They usually go as cartoon characters or something cute, but I guess since they are a little older now, they want to be scary! One is going as a zombie, one as a monster and my littlest is going as a skelebones!! I just can't wait for the (their) candy...I'm so bad...and besides they would never be able to eat it all themselves! Reese's are my fav!! :D

In other news...my 8 year old fractured his arm on Thursday while he was at school so he has a temporary splint and wrap until he gets his cast. All he could think about was how much cooler his zombie costume is going to look with his wrapped arm...lol! He has little pain but he is doing fine and I'm a little less stressed knowing he will not need surgery!

Anyways...onto my card and what you're really here for...lol! Since it's Saturday, that means it's time for a new challenge and new sketch at "Sketch Saturday"!! I absolutely had so much fun with this sketch...lots of ways you could play around with this one!

This is my very first and last Halloween card of the year...which I'm so sad about, because Halloween cards are so much fun to create!! But I just didn't seem to find the time this year to make more. Oh well there's always next year!

The super adorable image I used for my card is a digi stamp from Roberta's shop "Prairie Fairy Designs"! She is "Witchy Gillian" and can be found in the shop HERE!

The sentiment is one I created myself to match the image...I love the way it turned out! I don't really like how the pictures turned out however. Most of the papers I used for my card are really glittery and sparkly and the ribbon as well...but you can't really tell from the pics. The spiders are actually some spider rings I bought for the kiddos and just clipped the ring parts off...lol! I finally got a chance to use my new 'Gothic Fence' border punch from "Martha Stewart"! And as with all of Roberta's Gilly images wearing glasses...I used Glossy accents for her eyes. Her cape, boots and broom have a bit of Stickles for even more sparkle!

All the buttons I use are from "Button Bonanza"!

I kept it kinda simple on the inside to show off the cool purple paper with the bats!

I added another spider on the message panel...Doesn't it look cool?!

Mistletoe Kisses and Christmas Wishes! -Pink Ink Sketch Challenge #8!

Yay another Christmas card accomplished...I think it's only my 3rd one of the year...lol. I think next year I'm going to start working on them through the year...cause I still have a lot to go!!

The layout I'm using today is an awesome sketch from "Pink {INK} Sketch Challenge"!

The card I'm sharing today features an adorable "Prairie Fairy Designs" image...when I seen her, I knew I just had to create a card with her! She is called 'Mistletoe Kisses Gilly' and can be found in Roberta's shop HERE! I was inspired to create the sentiment for my card today to match Roberta's sweet image.

I'm really not liking the way my pics turned out this morning...kinda dark...but I got frustrated re-taking pics and playing with it...lol. So this as good as they are going to get.

I used some sparkly "Glamour Dust" glitter on the image and this is the first time using "Tim Holtz" white crackle paint for the edges and on the flowers...not too sure if I like the way it turned out? I also used some "Tattered Angels" Glitter Glam paint around the edges and flowers, on top of the paint to make it sparkly!

I finally found me some of those filigree corner pieces...I think I'm in love...lol!!

Thank You! Fairy Fun Fridays Challenge #64 -Wet (Heat) Embossing!!

It's time for a great NEW challenge at "Fairy Fun Fridays"!! 

Our hostess for the next couple weeks is Dionne and she wants us to try and use embossing in a different way! So our theme for the next couple of weeks is "Wet Embossing" which is another way to say (heat Embossing)!!

Here is what I came up with and a little inspiration to get you started...

I have to admit, I'm usually not very good at embossing, so the only embossing I ever do is usually just the sentiments on my card. So for my card this week, I tried something new and used a background foliage stamp from "Stampendous" to stamp and emboss the 4 panels in the back! I also stamped and embossed the sentiment right onto the image...which was very brave of me I might add....lol! I will definitely try this again in the future, because I loved the way it turned out and I didn't mess up even once! So thanks to my fellow teamy Dionne for making me try something new!! :D

I thought it would also look cool to pop up the embossed panels and image too! The image I used for my card is Roberta's gorgeous "Poppies" which can be found in the "Prairie Fairy Designs" shop HERE!

I tried my best to really capture the detail of the embossing on both the panels and the sentiment. The sentiment is from "Paper Trey Ink"...I love their gorgeous sentiments! I have a nice little collection started!!

I went with a simple inside...

It's Your Day! Victorine Originals Stamp With Deconstrusted Sketch #23!!

Hope everyone has had a good Monday so far?! 

My Monday has been kinda bla...specially after a lazy weekend spent with the hubs having BOTH days off...lol!! I have a special card to share today, but before I get to that...I wanted to let everyone know that entered my Etsy giveaway, that I will be announcing the winner tomorrow...so be sure to stay tuned for that!

The card that I'm sharing today features a super adorable stamp that I won in a challenge last month from "Victorine Originals" rubber stamps. I finally got it all mounted, inked up and colored in!

Before winning this stamp, I had never heard of Victorine's stamps before...but now that I had a chance to play with one...I think I'm in love!! Be sure to check out her shop HERE which has an assortment of gorgeous stamps in the online catalog and she even does custom stamps too!!

This was the first time I have tried using "Crackle Accents"...I put it around all the distressed edges and corners to make it look more vintage!! Not sure if I liked the way it turned out...maybe next time I will be brave enough to put it over the entire image like I originally planned to do...lol.

When I received the stamp, she included a matching sentiment with it too, but I decided not to use it for this card because it was a Summer sentiment.

This is the first time I've had the chance to play along with the "Deconstructed Sketch" challenge. I thought the sketch they had this week worked perfectly with the shape of this image and what I had planned for the lace...so I turned the sketch on it's side.

Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas! Sketch Saturday Challenge #177!!

Yay for the weekend it's finally here...the boys have had so much homework to do this week, that I didn't get in much crafting time at all! Sometimes with as much homework as they have, I feel like I'm the one in school too...lol. Guess all the homework makes up for the school budget cut days and them having more days off than usual...which is sad really, but that is a whole other subject I won't be getting into!!

Onto my card for this Saturday's challenge!! It's my second week on the "Sketch Saturday" DT and I just couldn't wait to show you the card I made up for this weeks fabulous sketch! Hope this and all the other gorgeous DT's cards make you all inspired to join in on the fun this week!!

For my card I've used a "Bugaboo Digi Stamp"...I love her stamps and have quite a collection!! I believe this one was actually offered as a freebie last Christmas though, but she can be found in the "Bugaboo Stamps" shop HERE and is called 'Dede's Christmas Drink'!! I just love her character images...they crack me up all the time!!

I've cut her into 3 parts, layered her, added some Stickles to sparkle her up and popped her up with some 3D foam! I also added some Glossy Accents to her drink! The embellishments are actually buttons that I have stacked rhinestones on top of...I love to do that! I used a cute little sentiment that I got in the bargain bin at "Micheal's Crafts" embossed it and the turned it into a tag! For the bow, I've used some old red transparent organza ribbon I had laying around.

I just love, love the backing card stock I've used on this!! It's a glossy and glittery card stock from DCWV! The pictures turned out really nice and show it off very well! And yes I broke out my new "i-rock" tool on this too...lol!! The little black things are some acrylic pebbles I got in assorted colors from my local craft store...I believe they are suppose to be used for flower arrangements??...oh well!!

Love my snowflake border punch from "EKSuccess" so I added a border to the inside too!
